Urgent Care

The Right Care. Right Now

It is the mission of Altmed Medical Center to set a new standard in urgent care and occupational medicine for the community we serve. We will apply innovative concepts and techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Our Urgent Care Facility is dedicated in providing excellent and convenient medical care to all patients and employers in our community. All of our providers are board certified and licensed by the State of Maryland. Our team treats every patient individually with respect, dignity and compassion.

Altmed Medical Center offers quick and convenient urgent care in a comfortable and modern setting. With lab equipment onsite, our medical staff provides excellent care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, from coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones. Most visits last less than an hour so you can get back to what matters.

What are the benefits of Urgent Care?

Urgent care services are focused on convenience, affordable services, and immediate responses to pressing medical issues. Many times your primary care physicians are not always available when you need them. You can come to us anytime if you or someone in your family needs professional medical help for non-life-threatening issues because we do not require appointments. We can also work with your regular physician to make sure all of your medical records are up to date.

Is Urgent Care the Same as Emergency Care?

It is important to note that urgent care is not emergency care. While we can handle many medical situations, you should still call 911 in the event of a life-threatening emergency.

We strongly suggest you to contact 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if you are experiencing issues such as:

  • Electrical shock
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe/open fractures
  • Unconsciousness
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Severe choking including drowning
  • Signs of stroke or heart attack
